YMCA Youth Engagement Coordinator

Join YMCA Calgary as a Youth Engagement Coordinator and impact the lives of youth through dynamic programming and community empowerment. This part-time role includes direct program delivery and team collaboration.

As a Youth Engagement Coordinator, your main focus will be on planning and facilitating engaging activities for Grade 6 youth. You’ll work closely with the Youth Supervisor and volunteers to develop programs that promote well-being and safety. Your participation in community events ensures program visibility and encourages youth involvement in recreational activities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Execute the Calgary Flames program for Grade 6 students

• Engage youth through weekly Flames Friday activities

• Support the development of other youth programs

• Collaborate in recruiting and mentoring volunteers

• Represent YMCA Calgary’s mission during annual campaigns

Requirements:

• Experience in recreation programming and customer service

• Skills in youth behavior management and teamwork

• Up-to-date Standard First Aid certification

• Valid Police Information Check with Vulnerable Sector Search

• Strong oral and written communication skills
