Major Gifts Philanthropy Officer

Join United Way of Calgary and Area as a Major Gifts Philanthropy Officer. This one-year, full time contract role focuses on building effective donor relations in the community. Reporting directly to the Manager of Major Gifts, you will cultivate relationships with prospective and current major donors, volunteers, and organizations. Your role will involve supporting fundraising campaigns, tracking engagement in a CRM system, and collaborating with teams for optimal donor strategies.

This position allows you to leverage your skills while making a tangible impact in local lives.

• Support major and mid-level donor prospecting efforts
• Enhance stewardship for a portfolio of donors
• Build relationships across community stakeholders
• Utilize CRM tools for tracking donor communications
• Work with teams to implement donor cultivation strategies

• Demonstrated experience in individual fundraising
• Solid relationship-building abilities
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Knowledge of charitable giving tax laws
• Must possess a driver’s license and vehicle
