Major Gifts Director at Rise

Elevate philanthropic impact as the Major Gifts Director at Rise Calgary. In this full-time role, you'll lead donor conversations and strategically close transformational gifts.

As the Director of Development, you'll build and manage a disciplined prospect pipeline and own the major gifts program. This role requires expertise in relationship-based development, including identifying donor needs and preparing tailored proposals. Working closely with the Executive Director and Board, you’ll ensure effective stewardship and documentation throughout the donor experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Build major gifts strategy and manage donor portfolios

• Lead major gift asks, including tailored proposals

• Coordinate introductions with the Executive Director and Board

• Create donor stewardship plans for deeper connections

• Maintain a prioritized donor pipeline with documented actions

Requirements:

• Proven success in major gifts or business development

• Strong communication skills for donor engagement

• Excellent documentation and planning capabilities

• High integrity in managing donor relationships

• Experience with relationship-centric revenue generation
