The Alzheimer Society of Calgary is actively seeking a dedicated individual for the part-time Volunteer Coordinator role. This position requires at least two years of experience coordinating volunteer programs, alongside exceptional relationship building skills. You will recruit, train, and supervise volunteers, and complete essential administrative tasks, enhancing the impact of local support for families dealing with dementia.
Key Responsibilities:
• Recruit and select suitable volunteers for various roles
• Train and supervise volunteers to ensure effective engagement
• Promote the importance of volunteerism in the community
• Manage volunteer program evaluations and administration
• Maintain meticulous records on volunteer contributions
Requirements:
• Minimum of two years coordinating volunteer programs
• Experience with volunteer management systems like Better Impact
• Knowledge of dementia and related issues is a plus
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
