Casual Cook

Position: Casual Cook at Covenant Living
Join Covenant Living in Calgary, Alberta, as a Casual Cook I. Prepare and cook a variety of dietary menu items while supporting the organization's compassionate mission.

In this role, you will report to the Site Administrator and be responsible for preparing, cooking, and baking nutritional meals according to established Menu Plans. As part of the care team, you will ensure food handling standards are met and assist with catering functions, making sure that all supplies are ready and equipment deficiencies are reported.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare, cook, and bake dietary menu items

• Ensure compliance with food safety standards

• Support catering functions by maintaining supplies

• Collaborate with the care team for safe food preparation

• Report equipment and hospitality issues to the Coordinator

Requirements:

• Level Two Food Safe course certification

• Red Seal or Journeyman Cook preferred

• 3-5 years experience in Institutional Cooking

• Strong communication skills needed

• Proof of Vaccination required
