** This job is a full-time, year-round, salaried position beginning September 2026. Staff accommodation is available if required!*
* ** ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES
*** The Assistant Manager ensures the smooth running of the day-to-day operations for the restaurant and special events, including banquets.
* Supervise staff and ensure that customer expectations are exceeded at all times
* Keep the food and beverage areas clean and maintain exemplary food hygiene practices
* Assist with recruitment, training, and management of staff
* Assist with inventory management; oversee proper unpacking of weekly orders, ensuring storage locations are neat and tidy at all times and part of the monthly counting ensuring accuracy and attention to detail
* Able to address customer complaints or issues, and resolve matters as expediently as possible
* Oversee food storage and dining areas, ensuring that the facility remains in compliance with safety regulation and health codes
* Assist with cocktail creation and menu development. Let your passion shine!
* Lead and execute weddings, conferences and signature events; ensure that no detail is missed and the event is delivered flawlessly
* Daily billing and financial responsibilities to be completed accurately and efficiently
* Assist with scheduling & payroll
* A leader in daily communication on guest feedback, employee performance and notes from the days shift
** REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
*** Flexible to work various shifts (early mornings, late evenings, weekends, split shifts)
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
* Basic computer skills
* Highly organized individual with the ability to handle numerous tasks at one time
* Strong proven leadership qualities and management skills
* Degree in Hotel/Restaurant Management or related discipline is a strong asset
* 2 years' in a hotel or restaurant industry, including at least 1 year in a supervisory position
* Working knowledge of MICROS or similar P.O.S. system is an asset
* Ability to obtain and/or maintain any government required licenses, certificates or permits
