Location: BanffWe’re seeking a Bar Manager to join us at Bluebird! Welcome to Bluebird, a wood-fired steakhouse featuring the best of Alberta beef including your favorite classic cuts and all-day-roasted Prime rib. Bluebird is where brunch and cocktails collide into fireside lunch which glides into happy hour and then swooshes into dinner where the après begins. With the fire stoked high, we are ready for you to ski through the front door and tell us all about it.
It’s always a bluebird day in our mid-century chalet.
The anticipated start date for this position is mid-October.

Oversee and manage all areas of the bar, using your discretion to create and uphold bar procedures and policies, ensuring alignment with company standards and legislationSharing your knowledge is a must! You'll train and coach bartenders, and build server product knowledge along the wayLead by example, working alongside the bartenders, with a focus on hospitality and positivityManage inventory to business levels, and ensure ordering, receiving, storing, and invoice processing are completed on timeCreate and maintain a drinks menu that complements the food menu and evolves with the seasons and trendsEnforce sanitary practices for food handling, cleanliness, and maintenance of the bar areaEnsure compliance with operational standards, company policies, and federal, provincial, and municipal lawsMaintain professional restaurant image, including bar cleanliness, proper uniforms, and appearance standardsLike us, you're proud to be part of BHC, and it shows in your commitment to our brand and team cultureWhat You Have:
Bartending experience requiredPro Serve certification requiredAvailability to work mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends, and holidays requiredSupervisory or management experience is considered an assetPassion and knowledge of beer, mixology, and how to make traditional cocktails and create new onesConnecting with people and building trusting relationships comes easy to youUnderstanding of the importance of communication and workplace cultureA collaborative working style and team focusAbility to work with people sensitively, tactfully, diplomatically, and professionally at all timesExcellent communication skillsStrong work ethic and a positive team player
