Position: Counter / Inside Salesperson
Job Description
As a Counter / Inside salesperson, you will be the face of our business! You will provide world-class sales support to our customers by answering questions, entering and picking orders, and following up on any backorders. Your primary focus will be to serve our walk-in customers and inbound telephone inquiries. Support will also be provided to all of our Outside Sales functions.
Additional duties will include:
Research product for customers and provide recommendations on our assortment of productDrive sales growth through ownership of counter merchandising, product promotion, and generate leads for the Outside Account Management team while networking with customers at the counterEnter, pick, and pack sales orders generated at the counterInform the buyer when stocks levels are lowProcess returns and warranty claims to customers both on account and cash sales including paperwork in compliance with all proceduresNavigate and find a solution for customer concerns and complaintsPerform other tasks as requested by the Profit Centre ManagerQualifications
Grade 12 diploma or equivalent;
College and/or University degree an assetExperience with customer service or counter sales an assetOutstanding customer service and verbal communication skillsExcellent relationship building skills with customers, vendors, and teammatesAbility to learn and operate the applicable software system used to process ordersPossess a strong work ethic and a high standard of integrityAbility to work well independently and in a team settingPreferred
Skills:
Previous experience with or knowledge of HVAC/R and building products sold at the Profit CentreAbility to use the Internet as a resource to problem solve and find alternative solutions for customersExperience using Word, Excel, and OutlookAdditional Information
