Responsibilities
Provide technical services to clients related to industrial automation products.
Make sales calls, research customer needs, and provide product and application information; demonstrate technology solutions for customers.
Gather, analyze, and share technical information and solutions with internal and external customers.
Provide pre‑/post‑automation sales support for sales teams and customers.
Develop expertise in industrial automation product groups and share that knowledge as needed.
Participate in joint sales calls with customers and prospects.
Participate in ongoing training to maintain technical competency in product and complementary product areas.
Understand market conditions and competitive forces.
Participate in marketing, promotion programs, and product launches from product businesses.
Maintain excellent relationships with vendor product managers and other selling resources.
Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent required;
Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
2+ years technical background and/or experience.
Strong computer skills.
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Preferred: 1 year automation sales experience.
Preferred: 2 years technical experience using automation products.
