Reporting to the Team Lead, Customer Engagement
, the Customer Engagement Representative role supports targeted call campaigns aligned to UFA’s sales and marketing strategy, reinforcing UFA’s value and brand to maximize customer retention.
The CE rep is responsible for engaging prospects and customers by phone to identify new business opportunities by effectively engaging in customer-focused conversations that promote UFA solutions, products and services, and generate qualified leads and customer insights.
Responsibilities- Support call campaigns and programming that align with UFA’s sales and marketing strategy.
- Communicate effectively over the phone with prospects and customers to share knowledge of UFA's product and service offerings and seasonal programs.
- Converse with customers in a way that maximizes retention and helps reinforce UFA’s value and brand.
- Uncover new business opportunities through effectively influencing and engaging customers.
- Generate and submit all Leads through the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system.
- Accurately document interactions, customer details, and next steps in the CRM in a timely manner.
- Provide feedback from customer conversations (objections, needs, competitor insights) to support continuous improvement of scripts and campaigns.
- Participate in onboarding and ongoing training to remain current on products, programming and campaign objectives.
- Track and report on daily, weekly, and monthly progress (calls completed, leads generated).
- Provide support to the Sales and Product Marketing teams as required.
- High school diploma (Grade 12) required; post-secondary education in business, marketing, agriculture, or a related field is an asset.
- 5+ years of related experience in customer service, inside sales, lead generation, sales support, or marketing or an equivalent combination of education and experience is preferred.
- Demonstrated success in a phone-based environment (call centre, inside sales, or customer engagement), including comfort with cold calling, using call guides/scripts, and customer follow‑up.
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and ask effective, consultative questions.
- Professional, customer‑focused approach with strong interpersonal skills that contribute to a positive, supportive team environment.
- Proven ability to build collaborative, team‑based relationships with internal stakeholders.
- General understanding of agriculture and/or petroleum products is an asset.
- Self‑motivated and organized, with the ability to manage a daily call queue, prioritize follow‑ups, and work toward activity and lead targets.
- Comfort with technology, including CRM tools and digital phone systems; proficiency with Microsoft Office is an asset.
