Territory Sales Manager - Western

ROCKWOOL is seeking a Territory Sales Manager for Western Canada, based in Calgary. The territory includes southern Alberta, southern Saskatchewan, and the eastern Kootenays in British Columbia. The role requires 50% travel and 20% overnight stays. This position reports to the Regional Sales Manager and has no direct reports.
Responsibilities- Maintain and expand ROCKWOOL's presence as a major supplier of insulation to commercial and residential markets.
- Increase demand and solicit orders for products, maintaining awareness of local competitive conditions.
- Conduct demonstrations and product knowledge sessions with distributor staff, box‑store staff, LBM (lumber building materials) staff, specialty distributors, installers, general contractors and builders.
- Drive profitable growth within the assigned sales region.
- Assume full responsibility for sales volume, revenue, and margin targets in the region.
- Cultivate relationships with colleagues, customers, and key stakeholders.
- Lead project tracking with the Specification Manager and execute a pull‑through strategy.
- Conduct strategic account planning sessions with key customers.
- Perform market analysis to identify new opportunities for growth.
- Develop a comprehensive sales plan aimed at achieving goals and review quarterly.
- Provide detailed and accurate sales forecasts.
- Provide analytics to effectively drive growth and for internal reporting needs.
- Maintain 100% activity tracking in CRM and use all digital tools.
- Facilitate customer meetings with the Regional Sales Manager.
- 3–5 years of success in building materials sales.
- Knowledge of commercial and residential building technology or construction.
- Knowledge of the insulation market and strong negotiating skills.
- Good territory management skills.
- High drive, commitment, energy, and integrity.
- Ability to build strong internal and external relationships.
- Technical or business education to university level.
- Good leadership, communication, and presentation skills.
- Working knowledge of MS Office products and CRM software.
- Good organizational and analytical skills.
- Competitive salary (base $90,000–$100,000, commensurate with location, experience and market).
