About LGM Financial Services

LGM is a national leader in providing warranty, finance and insurance services to the Canadian automotive industry. Since 1998, LGM has partnered with leading automotive manufacturers and dealerships across Canada to deliver award-winning F&I solutions. As part of our next phase of growth, the Secure Drive brand is expanding rapidly nationally, offering a full suite of used-vehicle protection products that combine performance, technology, and dealer support.

The

Opportunity

As a Dealer Development Manager for Alberta, you will own a high-potential territory and be the face of LGM and Secure Drive with auto dealers in the province. This is a pure business development role: you will prospect, cold call, and leverage your existing dealer network to open doors, win new rooftop relationships, and convert them to selling LGM’s extended warranty and insurance products.

You’ll spend most of your time in the field, building credibility with Dealer Principals, GMs, and F&I Managers, challenging the status quo, and showing them how Secure Drive programs can grow their F&I profit and retention. Backed by a national brand, strong product suite, and internal training/support, you’ll have the autonomy to run your territory like your own business.

The Ideal Candidate

You’ve already managed a sales territory and know how to prospect, plan your travel, and consistently grow dealer penetration. You bring existing relationships with auto dealerships in Alberta (or can quickly build them) and have credibility with Dealer Principals, GMs, and F&I teams. Experience in banking or automotive finance – especially as a Dealer Relationship Manager or auto finance rep calling on dealer groups – is a strong asset and will help you ramp up quickly in this role.

  • In partnership with the Director of Sales Effectiveness, conduct quarterly business reviews for active dealerships in the territory
Core Competencies
  • Business acumen – understand the automotive market in Canada and a specific understanding of the dealerships within the territory
  • Communication – able to clearly and articulately present information in both spoken and written word including performance metrics and program results
  • Collaboration – knows the importance of positive relationships with others to build an environment of performance excellence and commitment to goals and objectives
  • Innovation – the ability to think outside of the box to develop creative and new solutions that meets current and future needs
  • Flexibility – the ability to adapt to changing environments and manage ambiguity with a high level of emotional intelligence
  • Performance – a proven track record of achieving financial objectives in a B2B sales role in the automotive industry as a top performer
