This position has responsibility for promoting Trader Corporation’s Marketplace solutions to clients within designated assignments by identifying, cultivating and developing high revenue accounts by using prospecting and consultative sales techniques. In addition, this position will serve as the primary business contact for assigned clients and is responsible for consistently providing excellent customer service to accounts and ensuring that customers’ needs are exceeded in terms of customer satisfaction.
The Account Manager will work with high revenue customers where superior sales, marketing and presentation skills are required to meet the needs of the customers.
What you’ll do
Sales/Customer Service:
- Cultivate and develop customer accounts by proactively gathering and reviewing information to identify high-level sales opportunities.
- Focus on the achievement of customer satisfaction, revenue generation within existing assignments, and long-term account goals in line with Trader’s vision.
- Prepare business presentations and complete corporate profiles; design and implement sales strategies.
- Effectively prepare prior to calling on customer; conduct effective needs assessment and design proposals to address the customer’s specific needs and maximize business potential.
- Discuss passenger vehicles marketplace needs with customer, understand and promote Trader products and services relevant to each customer in relation to the customer’s own business objectives.
- Understand customer’s wants so they can create need and sell on value instead of just product-based selling; demonstrate a continued personal concern for the customer in order to remind the customer of the value of Trader.
- Responsible for all client communications, conflict resolution, and compliance on client deliverables and revenue; ensure that client issues are dealt with in an efficient manner while maintaining excellent customer relations; respond to client’s needs with a sense of urgency.
- Maintain strong knowledge of new and existing Trader product offerings as well as new products in the market, industry trends and new developments; understand current competitive conditions within the marketplace.
Territory/Account Management:
- Complete Weekly Sales planner to ensure penetration of assigned territory and maintenance of existing client revenue base; proactively call on new and existing accounts; identify correct priorities and schedule sales calls accordingly.
- Initiate post‑sales activities to ensure acquisition solutions continue to satisfy the customer’s needs.
- Contribute information to Trader’s market strategy by monitoring competitive products and reactions from clients; recommend new solutions and services by evaluating current solutions and identifying needs to be filled.
- Spend most of time out of the office, with clients, and work at adding, growing, penetrating, controlling and retaining these accounts.
- Meet sales targets and objectives for assigned territory.
- Majority of time is spent out of the office on the road travelling from one account to the other.
Administration:
- Maintain sufficient customer records to ensure proper territory organization and account administration.
- Prepare a variety of status reports, including activity, closings, follow‑up, KPIs and adherence to goals/targets.
- Present and negotiate rates with clients; prepare and sign client contracts.
- Ensure all documentation and reports are complete, accurate and submitted to other departments within assigned timelines.
