Position: Principal Fisheries Biologist ERM
Lead impactful fisheries programs with ERM as a Principal Technical Consultant in Canada. Shape aquatic outcomes for mining and energy while ensuring regulatory compliance and ecological stewardship.

Join ERM’s Fisheries and Aquatics team, providing senior technical leadership on large-scale projects in diverse environments. You will leverage over six years of experience in environmental consulting, mentoring junior staff while addressing regulatory challenges in the mining and oil & gas sectors. Your deep expertise in fisheries biology will be pivotal in meeting clients' environmental goals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee fish habitat assessment and field program design

• Lead development of fisheries offsetting and compensation plans

• Review environmental assessments and permitting documents

• Ensure quality control for fisheries data and analysis

• Deliver expert guidance to clients and project teams

Requirements:

•

B.Sc. in Fisheries Biology or related discipline

• 6+ years of environmental consulting experience

• Registered Professional Biologist preferred

• Extensive field experience in aquatic biology

• Strong communication skills and ability to travel
