Hatfield is hiring an Ecotoxicologist to advance environmental assessments in Western Canada. Engage in ecotoxicological studies and contribute to significant projects in diverse sectors like mining and energy.
This role within Hatfield's Environmental Monitoring and Assessment team requires a resourceful scientist with at least five years of experience in toxicology. You will coordinate studies, manage field work, and provide technical insights for clients involved in environmental permitting and monitoring. Your contributions will help mitigate ecological effects and enhance project outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
• Organize and implement ecotoxicology studies and sound risk assessments
• Develop and track project budgets and schedules
• Collaborate with analytical chemistry labs on studies
• Supervise field assessments of aquatic ecosystems
• Create detailed technical reports for project stakeholders
Requirements:
• At least five years of relevant toxicology experience
• Strong knowledge of ecotoxicology and risk protocols
• Familiarity with Canadian environmental guidelines
• Proficient in data analysis and communication
• Registered biologist membership eligibility in BC or Alberta
