Laboratory Technician

Join AGAT Laboratories as a Laboratory Technician in the PVT Lab in Calgary, Alberta. This role focuses on performing standard and advanced experiments while maintaining reservoir fluid samples.

As a Laboratory Technician, you will work under the direction of the Laboratory Manager, handling various laboratory services. Candidates should have a Technical Diploma or Science Degree, with 0-5 years of lab experience preferred. Responsibilities include operating PVT equipment and ensuring accurate data records are compiled and validated.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform PVT experiments like single stage flash and gas oil ratio

• Maintain reservoir fluid samples with proper procedures

• Operate and troubleshoot high-pressure equipment

• Compile and validate data records accurately

• Prepare technical reports and summaries for internal use

Requirements:

• Technical Diploma or Science Degree required

• 0-5 years of laboratory experience

• Familiarity with oil or PVT lab environments is a plus

• Intermediate computer skills with MS Office and LIMS

• Ability to lift 25+ pounds consistently
