AJM Environmental is on the lookout for an Intermediate Aquatics Biologist to support their dedicated team. This full-time role involves managing diverse aquatic field programs and ensuring safe, efficient fieldwork. Ideal candidates will bring a proactive approach and contribute to various bio-physical disciplines in a collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design and implement aquatics field programs effectively
• Conduct fieldwork adhering to safety and technical standards
• Manage field crews, emphasizing safety and mentoring
• Analyze data to develop management recommendations
• Assist with regulatory application development
Requirements:
• University degree in Biology, Ecology, or related field
• Registered Professional Biologist (P.Biol or R.P. Bio)
• Minimum 3 years in Canadian regulatory environments
• Crew Lead Backpack Electrofishing Certification
• Experience in aquatic habitat classification
