Intermediate Aquatic Biologist

In this pivotal role at BBA, you will support diverse industrial project developments through effective impact studies, aquatic monitoring programs, and collaboration on fish habitat assessments. Your background will allow you to lead field surveys, draft inventory reports, and develop methodologies that adhere to project schedules and budgets.
Key Responsibilities:
• Support project managers in preparing proposals and budgets
• Deliver fish and habitat assessments in a multidisciplinary team
• Lead and manage long-term aquatic monitoring initiatives
• Conduct field surveys and ensure robust data entry
• Draft assessments and authorization requests for regulatory compliance
Requirements:
• Master’s degree in an environment-related field
• 3 to 7 years of relevant environmental project experience
• Professional certification or eligibility in Alberta or equivalent
• Experience with electrofishing and field surveys
• Willingness to relocate to Calgary
