Position: Carbon Capture Geophysicist Role
Join Canadian Natural in Calgary as a Carbon Capture Project Geophysicist. Lead seismic monitoring and interpretation to support crucial CCS initiatives across the Western Canadian Sedimentary Basin.

In this pivotal role, you will apply your extensive experience to enhance carbon capture and storage operations. Your work will include 2D and 3D seismic interpretation, collaborating across teams to optimize injection strategies and managing seismicity monitoring programs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead seismic interpretation for CCS characterization and modeling

• Collaborate with engineering and geology teams for optimization

• Design and oversee seismic monitoring strategies

• Develop frameworks for Monitoring and Mitigation

• Perform seismic hazard and risk assessments for compliance

Requirements:

• Advanced degree in Geophysics or related field

• Minimum of 5 years in seismic interpretation experience

• Familiar with regulatory standards in Alberta

• Expert in seismic software applications

• Strong analytical and communication capabilities
