Vertex Urban Development Technical Lead

Shape the future of Alberta’s infrastructure as the Urban Development Technical Lead s leadership role blends expertise in environmental consulting with strategic business development.
We're looking for a Technical Project Lead who can expand Vertex's environmental consulting services across Alberta. You will leverage 8–12+ years of expertise to guide biophysical assessments, environmental permitting, and business growth in commercial real estate. Your leadership will help build a skilled team and strengthen client relationships in this permanent, full-time role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee multidisciplinary environmental projects and biophysical assessments

• Manage technical requirements and support environmental permitting processes

• Build relationships with developers and municipalities

• Drive business development initiatives within the Urban Development sector

• Mentor and coach junior environmental staff for skill enhancement
Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, Environmental Science, or related discipline

• Minimum of 8 years in environmental consulting roles

• Knowledge of Stage 1 and 2 Environmental Site Assessments

• Established relationships in Alberta's real estate market

• Excellent communication and leadership skills
