With a commitment to sustainability, Hatch is seeking an Aquatic Resource Specialist with 8-12 years of experience in fisheries and aquatics. You will be integral to the Environment, People, and Place practice, delivering high-quality project solutions. Your expertise will guide junior colleagues while collaborating with clients and stakeholders in mining, energy, and infrastructure sectors.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead environmental consulting projects focused on fisheries and aquatics
• Manage DFO Fisheries Act Authorizations and Water Act applications
• Identify new business opportunities and client relationships
• Provide technical direction, peer review, and project advice
• Mentor project teams and contribute to resource planning
Requirements:
• Post-secondary degree in aquatic environmental sciences
• 8-12 years managing fisheries scopes and impact assessments
• Eligibility for Professional Designation under Alberta Society
• Proven business development skills in environmental sectors
• Ability to communicate effectively and lead diverse teams
