In this role at Okane, you will collaborate with diverse technical teams to solve complex challenges in mine closure. Your involvement will include developing reports, applying geochemical assessments, and formulating mine waste management strategies. Key Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with geotechnical and hydrological teams on projects
• Prepare technical documentation and plans for geochemical tasks
• Evaluate geochemical risks in mining and reclamation projects
• Conduct field investigations for mine waste characterization
• Provide mentorship to junior staff and contractors
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s or postgraduate degree in relevant geoscience discipline
• Minimum 5 years of experience in mining or applied geochemistry
• Familiar with geochemical modelling software applications
• Canadian professional registration or eligibility required
• Strong commitment to environmental impact mitigation
