Environmental Specialist in Alberta

Embark on a fulfilling career as an Environmental Specialist with SUMMIT, An Earth Services Company, based in Medicine Hat, Calgary, and Lloydminster, Alberta. This full-time temporary position requires both fieldwork and office tasks starting in Spring 2027.

In this role, you will gain hands-on experience in Environmental Assessments, including groundwater sampling, vegetation assessments, and soil evaluations. You'll work closely with skilled professionals, learn about environmental regulations, and engage in vital vegetation management programs across Alberta and Saskatchewan.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in various environmental site assessments

• Support vegetation management programs across regions

• Supervise minor field activities for reclamation

• Complete field notes and digital data uploads

• Conduct daily safety assessments for compliance

Requirements:

• Current enrollment in an environmental program

• Knowledge in environmental studies and reclamation

• Pesticide applicator certification is an asset

• Excellent problem-solving and multitasking skills

• Willingness to travel to remote work locations
