As an Aquatic Scientist at Onterris, you will contribute to critical water quality initiatives in either Edmonton, Calgary, or Grande Prairie. Your expertise will guide efforts in aquatic environmental effects monitoring, risk assessments, and operational monitoring for various industries including power and oil. You’ll lead fieldwork and collaborate with diverse teams to deliver practical solutions for environmental challenges.
Key Responsibilities:
• Engage in surface water and sediment quality sampling
• Collaborate on aquatic ecology and risk assessment projects
• Lead fieldwork and oversee specialized sampling methodologies
• Assist in managing and analyzing data
• Provide support for field teams and project plans
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s/Master’s in environmental science or biology
• 4-8 years of consulting experience in water quality
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Knowledge of environmental guidelines in Alberta
• Valid class 5 driver’s license
