As a Field Service Supervisor, you’ll lead a team of skilled tradespeople supporting, maintaining, and repairing Komatsu, Bomag, and other OEM equipment in the field. You’ll be responsible for ensuring safe, efficient, and cost-effective operations, providing coordination and direction to deliver high-quality service. This role is based in Calgary, AB, and follows a 5x2 shift rotation.

Location: Calgary, AB
Salary:$108,000-$115,000 annually, plus safety incentive and overtime eligibility
Work Arrangement: Primarily branch-based with occasional customer site visits
Schedule
: 5x2 (M-F) with overtime

What You’ll Do

  • Leadership & Team Coordination:
    Supervise and schedule tradespeople, provide technical guidance, and ensure field coverage and resource planning.
  • Safety & Compliance:
    Enforce safe work practices and maintain a clean work environment, ensuring compliance with OH&S regulations and Federal Hours of Service legislation. Conduct Pre-Job Assessments and review safety documentation (SAT cards).
  • Field Operations & Service Quality:
    Oversee maintenance and repair of heavy equipment (Komatsu, Bomag, OEMs), monitor service quality through customer follow-ups, and provide mobile repair support while prioritizing workloads.
  • Administrative Oversight:
    Manage work orders, job documentation, and timecards. Process warranty claims and job quotations using eXtend. Review and prepare technical service reports.
  • Vendor & Fleet Management:
    Coordinate with third-party vendors, ensuring proper onboarding, and oversee service truck operations, while monitoring fleet repair costs.
  • What You Bring

  • Minimum of 3 years’ supervisory experience in an industrial or field service setting, particularly in heavy equipment maintenance and repair
  • Journeyperson certification as a Heavy Equipment Technician
  • Strong commitment to safety and communication
  • Experience with Komatsu equipment is an asset
  • Ability to work independently in field environments
  • Willingness to travel and meet customer site access requirements if needed
