Join the Facilities Management team at the University of Calgary as a Full-time Electrician, focusing on efficient building operations and electrical maintenance.
This critical role within the Operations and Maintenance department involves maintaining and ensuring reliable electrical systems across university properties. You will complete repairs, installations, and perform analyses while adhering to both Canadian Electrical Code and university standards. The position is full-time, Monday to Friday, offering stability and the chance to collaborate with various stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
• Complete installations and repairs of electrical equipment
• Work in compliance with electrical codes and university policies
• Communicate with contractors and technical support
• Explore innovative solutions to minimize electrical interruptions
• Maintain records and blueprints of electrical systems
Requirements:
• Electrical Trade Certification and 3-5 years of experience
• Knowledge of electrical practices and safety procedures
• Ability to interpret blueprints and schematics
• Experience in commercial and institutional applications
• Valid Class 5 Driver's license and good driving record
