Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Journeyman/Woman, person to join our clients construction team. The ideal candidate will possess comprehensive expertise in various trades, including carpentry, masonry, electrical, plumbing, and finishing work. This role involves executing complex projects with precision, interpreting schematics and blueprints, and ensuring high-quality craftsmanship across diverse construction and restoration tasks. The Journeyman/Woman, person will play a vital role in delivering durable, safe, and aesthetically pleasing results for our clients.

Compensation

Pay is commensurate with experience.

  • Typical hourly wage range: $34.00 - $44.00 per hour
  • Company service van available to eligible candidates. Eligibility requires a valid Class 5 Driver's License and a clean driver's abstract.
Responsibilities
  • Read and interpret detailed blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to guide project execution.
  • Perform concrete forming, rebar installation, masonry work, and tile laying with accuracy.
  • Install cabinets, siding, roofing, flooring, and siding materials according to specifications.
  • Conduct restoration projects including surface repairs and refinishing work.
  • Operate hand tools, power tools, CNC machinery, and specialized equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Execute construction painting, caulking, drywall installation, and finishing tasks to meet quality standards.
  • Assist with plumbing and electrical installations as needed.
  • Measure materials accurately for construction estimating purposes.
  • Perform heavy lifting safely during material handling and project assembly.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment to adhere to safety protocols.
  • Collaborate with team members to complete projects on time and within scope.
Skills
  • Proficiency in blueprint reading and interpreting schematics for various trades.
  • Extensive experience in concrete forming, masonry, carpentry, woodworking, roofing, siding installation, and flooring installation.
  • Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, CNC machinery, and other construction equipment.
  • Strong knowledge of construction estimating processes.
  • Ability to perform rebar installation and framing with precision.
  • Experience in restoration work including surface repairs and refinishing techniques.
  • Capable of electrical wiring and plumbing installations (preferred).
  • Excellent problem‑solving skills with the ability to read technical drawings accurately.
  • Heavy lifting capability with proper safety precautions.
  • Handyman experience across multiple trades is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of caulking techniques for sealing surfaces effectively.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team in fast‑paced environments.

Requirements Mandatory Candidate Requirements
  • Demonstrated experience working as a commercial carpenter on active construction sites.
  • Strong knowledge of commercial construction practices, drawings, and specifications.

Ability to work independently and as part of a site team.

Physically capable of performing work typical of commercial construction.

  • Perform commercial carpentry work including framing, backing, and general construction.
