The Position:
Utility Tree Trimmer (UTT)
Type:Full-time
Reports To:General Foreperson

Shifts:

- Trim, prune, and remove trees or branches that pose a risk to utility infrastructure.
- Use industry‑standard techniques to safely remove trees without causing damage.
- Operate equipment such as chainsaws, pole saws, aerial lifts, chipper trucks, and cranes.
- Train and supervise crew members in safe practices around high‑voltage equipment.
- Maintain accurate records of vegetation management activities.
- Document completed work for utility or regulatory compliance.
- Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and protect nearby habitats.
- Perform other duties as required.
- Utility Tree Trimmer Certification.
- Valid Class 5 drivers’ license, with air endorsement or willingness to obtain.
- Applicants must pass pre‑employment drug screening.
- Current First Aid with CPR or willingness to obtain.
- Ability to withstand exposure to all kinds of weather and environmental conditions.
