Instructor Apprenticeship Program

Position: Instructor for Apprenticeship Program at SAIT
Join SAIT as an Instructor for the Refrigeration Mechanic Apprenticeship Program and lead hands-on learning experiences. Engage an enthusiastic cohort of apprentices to advance their skills.

In this role, you will help craft a supportive environment for learners in the skilled trades. Utilizing innovative teaching methods, you will adapt instructional materials and conduct assessments aimed at student success. Duties may require flexibility to accommodate evening or weekend schedules.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct engaging and practical apprenticeship instruction

• Customize learning activities to support apprentices

• Offer guidance and constructive feedback on performance

• Engage in SAIT’s community outreach initiatives

• Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the learning experience

Requirements:

• Alberta Journeyperson Certificate with Red Seal in Refrigeration

• At least five years of industry experience

• Dual certification (Gasfitter A/B or Electrician) is advantageous

• Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills

• Experience with adult instruction is beneficial
