Journeyman Welder at Compass

Elevate your welding career with Compass! We seek skilled Journeyman Welders for Day and Night Shifts, specializing in precise fabrication within the North American gas industry.

As a Journeyman Welder at Compass, you will work directly under the Foreman and Lead Hand in our Structural Department. You will read blueprints, interpret welding specifications, and ensure quality in our Compressor Skids fabrication. Your skills in FCAW and SMAW will be crucial, alongside your understanding of cutting, coping, and welding structural steel.

Key Responsibilities:

• Read and interpret blueprints and welding specs

• Set up and operate welding machinery proficiently

• Fit and weld skids and subassemblies accurately

• Participate in the Quality Control Program

• Maintain a clean and organized workspace

Requirements:

• Journeyman Welding Ticket required

• Experience with CWB, FCAW, and SMAW is necessary

• Must have own tools per Compass Tool List

• Ability to work at heights and lift up to 50 lbs.

• Knowledge of OH&S procedures is essential
