Tasks Inspect, measure and mark surfaces to be covered
Read blueprints, drawings and specifications to determine work requirements
Prepare and install hardwood floors
Inspect and repair damaged floor coverings
Conduct moisture, pH, temperature and other tests prior to flooring installations
Remove existing floor coverings and contaminants
Installation specialization Vinyl or resilient tiles
Hardwood strip flooring
Work conditions and physical capabilities Physically demanding
