Make a difference in seniors' lives as a Maintenance Assistant s role focuses on essential repairs and maintenance, ensuring a safe and comfortable environment for residents.
Age Care is seeking a Maintenance Assistant to support our long-term care residence. This position involves semi-skilled maintenance duties associated with electrical, heating, mechanical, and plumbing systems. You will also perform routine inspections and assist with repairs and minor carpentry projects.
Key Responsibilities:
• Repair defective equipment impacting resident care
• Regulate and fix taps, toilets, and drains
• Conduct routine lighting inspections and repairs
• Test electrical circuits and appliances as needed
• Assist in maintaining mechanical equipment and perform carpentry tasks
Requirements:
• 1-2 years of relevant maintenance experience
• Knowledge of WHMIS protocols
• Grade 12 Diploma with technical training
• Strong commitment to resident well-being
• Ability to work in a team-focused environment
