• Candidates must attain a High School diploma and must have 310S, 310T, OR Red Seal to be eligible for this post.
• Applicants must have a valid Automotive Service Technician, Commercial Transport Mechanic or Heavy Duty Mechanic trades certification.
• People must have an Interprovincial Red Seal and must attain a minimum of 5 years of experience in the trade to be eligible for this post.
• Candidates must be able to successfully pass the pre-employment qualifying exam.
• They must be able to obtain and maintain any applicable transportation security clearances and additional authorizations to be eligible for this post.
• Applicants must have advanced Fuel Injection & Diesel Engine Tune-Up certificates/licenses. Along with this, they must have air conditioning and refrigeration certificates to be eligible for this post.

• Candidates with propane fuel systems certificates and automotive Inspection certificates are eligible for this post.
• Candidates must have current security clearance and previous experience maintaining mobile ground power, air conditioners, and air start units to be considered as an asset for this post.
• They must be eligible to work in the country of interest at the time any offer of employment is made and seek any required work permits/visas to be considered as an asset for this post.
