Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanization Technician (Automation) to join our team.
- Night Shift (Sunday
- Thursday, 10:30 PM – 6:30 AM) – 40 hours per week - Night shift premium available
- Journeyman Electrician ticket required ( or Equivalent)
- Experience with SSI automation preferred
- Full company paid benefits after probation
This role is critical in maintaining, troubleshooting, and optimizing automated systems and machinery to ensure seamless production operations. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge, expertise in robotics and programmable logic controllers, and experience with various automation tools and systems. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment, supporting continuous improvement initiatives and ensuring compliance with industry standards.
Duties- Support all operations in the facility
- Coordinate on‑site installation/maintenance of electrical and mechanical automated system machines.
- Troubleshoot, repair, calibrate and align electrical and mechanical automated system machines.
- Capable of reading and editing electrical, mechanical and layout drawings.
- Demonstrate experience in a maintenance field with good working experience in mechanical repairs.
- Supporting new machine builds, installations, and modifications.
- Perform preventative maintenance program to ensure production downtime is minimized.
- Develop and maintain standards and tools for hardware projects.
- Monitor automated system machine performance.
- Demonstrate organizational, interpersonal, and problem‑solving skills.
- Basic PLC, motors and drives troubleshooting skills.
- Must have a high mechanical aptitude. Working knowledge of electrical and mechanical principles, motors, drivers, gear boxes, belts, and bearings.
- Some welding and fabrication experience an asset.
- Must provide own hand tools.
- Basic PC skills, email, Microsoft Office, CMMS.
- Ability to work different shifts, weekends, holidays, and some overtime.
- Actively communicates with team members, manager about works’ status.
- May travel to other sites for paid training, installations, and vacation relief.
- Works independently with little or no supervision. Must have reliable transportation.
Minimum Education
- A degree/diploma in Electromechanical, Automation or Similar.
- Industrial Electricians License (442‑A) an asset
- Valid Driver’s License
- Must be able and agree to be trained for operating Elevation platforms and other company’s transportation equipment
- 5 years of equipment maintenance experience, preferably with automation.
- Working knowledge of basic electrical and mechanical principles, motors, drivers, gear boxes, belts, and bearings.
- Strong attention to detail
- Good communication skills

Pay$22.35‑$42.00 per hour
