Plumbing Journeyman Schools

Join the Calgary Board of Education as a Plumbing Journeyman, where your skills will directly enhance school facilities through effective plumbing services and maintenance. This is a temporary role with an afternoon shift.

This position entails the installation and servicing of plumbing systems vital for student and staff safety. You will contribute your expertise to a collaborative environment, ensuring high standards of workmanship are maintained until the anticipated end date of September 30, 2026.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install and service plumbing systems in educational buildings

• Test plumbing systems for leaks and efficiency

• Collaborate with the Area Maintenance Supervisor on priorities

• Conduct routine checks and maintenance as required

• Assist in managing plumbing supplies and materials

Requirements:

• Must have Journeyman certifications in both Plumbing and Gas Fitting

• Strong communication and record-keeping abilities

• Previous experience in facility operations preferred

• Must hold an Alberta Class 5 Operators License

• Willingness to work independently and in collaboration
