Tunneling Welder Journeyman

Position: Tunneling Company Welder Journeyman
Become a skilled Welder Journeyman at The Tunneling Company in Calgary, AB. This role emphasizes Submerged Arc Welding and hands-on pipe fitting in the dynamic field of tunneling.

The Tunneling Company is on the lookout for accomplished welders to join their team. Focusing on various welding methods, including Submerged Arc Welding, this position requires over two years of welding expertise. Responsibilities also include equipment maintenance, weld inspections, and adherence to safety protocols.

Key Responsibilities:

• Fit and weld large casing pipes from 12” to 126” diameter

• Operate pipe beveling and oxyfuel cutting equipment

• Maintain and repair welding machinery and tools

• Provide manual labor for equipment transport on-site

• Participate in safety meetings and perform FLHA’s

Requirements:

• 2+ years of welding experience with SAW

• CWB Certified welder status required

• Valid Class 5 Driver License with a clean record

• Pass a pre-employment drug test

• Willingness to complete a welding competency test
