Technical Welding Associate

Position: Technical Welding Associate at SGS
Enhance critical infrastructure projects as a Technical Welding Associate with SGS, the leader in testing and certification. Collaborate with engineers and clients to ensure compliance and quality in welding practices.

In this role, you will support the construction of oil and gas infrastructure by interpreting regulations and ensuring welding practices meet standards. You’ll monitor welding parameters and assist in qualifying welding procedures while maintaining essential documentation. Collaborating closely with the Welding Services Supervisor, your input will be vital for project success and client satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

• Interpret customer specifications and regulatory requirements

• Monitor welding parameters accurately during tasks

• Prepare and maintain procedure qualification records

• Conduct welder performance qualification testing

• Assist in implementation of welding processes

Requirements:

• Post-secondary education in Welding Engineering or related field

• Welding Examiner Certificate of Competency preferred

• Proficient in computer software usage

• Strong communication and time management skills

• Valid Class 5 driver's license required
