Pipefitter, Trades ​/ Skilled Labor

Job Title:

Apprentice / Journeyman Pipefitter (3rd/4th Year+) – Calgary, AB

Join a growing industrial contractor working on pressure piping systems in a fabrication shop with some field exposure. Ideal for 3rd/4th year apprentices or Journey persons looking to build hands‑on fabrication and installation experience.

• Fit, assemble, and install pressure piping systems (roll grooved, threaded, stainless steel, thin‑wall)
• Read and interpret spool/isometric drawings
• Perform fit‑up, assembly, and quality checks on piping spools
• Support hydro testing and basic QA/QC processes
• Work in shop and assist with field installations (water, steam, gas, drainage)
• Operate tools and equipment (lifts, forklifts) as required
• Maintain safe, clean work environment and follow all safety procedures

• 3rd or 4th year Apprentice Pipefitter/Steamfitter (or Journeyperson)
• Fabrication shop experience with pressure piping
• Experience with threading and roll grooved systems
• Strong blueprint/drawing reading skills
• WHMIS, Fall Protection, AWP (or willing to obtain)
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently

• Journeyperson certification (Pipefitter/Steamfitter/Plumber)
• Experience with stainless pipe, thin‑wall tubing
• Rigging and equipment operation (forklift, zoom boom, lifts)
• Industrial maintenance or construction experience
• Willingness to travel for projects

• Calgary‑based fabrication shop with some field work
• Monday‑Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM

This is a Contract position based out of Calgary, AB.

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $44.00/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in Calgary, AB.
