This apprenticeship role is based at our Shepard Shop in Calgary, AB, and offers a fantastic opportunity for skill development under expert guidance. You will be enhancing your welding abilities while working on critical projects related to Energy Transition and carbon reduction. Prepare to demonstrate your skills with a Weld Test during the interview process.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in welding tasks using SMAW and GMAW techniques

• Clean and prepare materials for optimal welding conditions

• Interpret specifications detailed in project documentation

• Maintain tools and equipment following safety protocols

• Participate in ongoing training sessions and workshops

Requirements:

• Enrollment in a recognized welding apprenticeship program

• 2-3 years experience with welding techniques

• Strong mechanical aptitude and communication skills

• Ability to pass pre-employment tests

• Familiarity with engineering drawings and specifications
