Excavator Operator

KLS Earthworks & Environmental is seeking a dedicated Excavator Operator to enhance our Calgary team with safety and efficiency. This full-time role focuses on operating heavy equipment while supporting the ground crew's operations.

As an Excavator Operator at KLS Earthworks, you will utilize your 5+ years of experience to perform vital excavation tasks. Your responsibilities include conducting daily safety checks, interpreting ground markings, and ensuring compliance with OH&S standards. At KLS, operational excellence is a priority, and your role is critical to maintaining our reputation in Western Canada.

Key Responsibilities:

• Safely operate excavator and heavy equipment

• Perform daily maintenance checks and lubricate equipment

• Read and interpret ground markings for excavation

• Ensure proper trench excavation depth and grade

• Identify underground and overhead utilities before work

Requirements:

• 5+ years’ excavator operation experience

• Physically capable of lifting 50lbs regularly

• Willing to work out of town as needed

• Must pass drug, alcohol, and fit testing

• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
