General Maintenance Attendant

Rate of Pay: $19.00 per hour

Subsidized staff housing is available.

The Engineering Department’s employees maintain the hotel. As a Maintenance Attendant you are responsible for repairing and maintaining the hotel’s physical structure, ensuring quality, cleanliness, guest satisfaction, and safety, while greeting guests with a positive attitude.

• Respond to guest room calls
• Minor drywall repairs / painting
• Change light bulbs
• Minor plumbing and repairs
• Minor electrical repairs
• Troubleshoot TV issues
• Troubleshoot guest door lock issues
• Routine rounds of mechanical rooms and equipment
• Other duties as required

• General carpentry (rough and finish)
• Painting interior and exterior, drywall repair (patching and caulking)
• Minor plumbing and minor electrical knowledge
• Flooring repair and installation, handyman, general home repairs and maintenance work
• Strong attention to detail

• Ability to stand and walk for prolonged periods throughout the property
• Occasional climbing of stairs, ladders, or step stools to access equipment, fixtures, or storage areas
• Frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling of tools, equipment, and supplies
• Ability to lift and carry items up to 50 lbs (23 kg)
• Regular bending, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and reaching, including overhead reaching
