Location: Okotoks
Join the team as a Bricklayer, focusing on industrial projects at Shell Scotford and Syncrude. This role involves skilled masonry work in various conditions.
In this Bricklayer position, you will be tasked with laying bricks and other masonry units essential for constructing walls and fireplaces. You'll interpret technical drawings and lay materials accurately, including fire brick in industrial furnaces. Your work may take place outdoors with the necessary safety precautions, using scaffolding for height access.
Key Responsibilities:
• Construct and repair walls, patios, and arches
• Interpret blueprints and calculate material needs
• Lay fire brick and castable materials in furnaces
• Measure and ensure accuracy using plumb lines
• Remove excess mortar after positioning bricks
Requirements:
• Proven experience as a bricklayer
• Understanding of various masonry materials
• Capable of working in outdoor environments
• Skilled in using masonry tools and heavy equipment
• Available for 10-hour day and night shifts
