JOB SUMMARY

The Service/Valve Repair Technician is responsible for the maintenance, repair and testing of various types of industrial valves used in field applications, as well as for the general equipment maintenance.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Take reasonable care to protect his/her health and safety and that of other workers by following Tara Energy’s safety policies & procedures, as well as government and industry regulations.
  • Responsible for repair and testing of various valves, including but not limited to ball valves, gate valves, plug valves, emergency shut downs, etc.
  • Perform disassembly, cleaning, inspection, measuring, reassembly and testing of valves at Tara Energy facilities and client locations.
  • Follow all schematics and documented procedures in accordance with all Quality Control and professional standards that apply to the job.
  • Thoroughly complete all calibration and documentation associated with testing and repairs.
  • Service TARA equipment, including but not limited to taking apart inspecting/repairing various components grinding, sanding, painting, and other tasks.
  • Travel to job sites and adhere to all site safety and performance requirements.
  • Communicate timely updates to management, co-workers, and customers to ensure timely and successful completion of job responsibilities.
  • Participating in risk assessments as part of daily operations including but not limited to working safely around industrial machinery, working from heights, in confined spaces and possible adverse weather conditions.
