Position: Skilled Bricklayer for Suncor & Syncrude
Location: Okotoks

Seeking a skilled Bricklayer to work on large-scale projects including Suncor Base Plant and Firebag. This role emphasizes expertise in masonry and outdoor construction.

As a Bricklayer, you'll be instrumental in preparing and laying bricks for various structures such as walls and chimneys. Your responsibilities will include interpreting construction drawings, accurately measuring, and effectively spreading mortar to ensure sturdy installations. This position involves outdoor work in varying weather, often requiring protective gear.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lay brick and masonry units accurately

• Interpret and plan according to drawings and blueprints

• Spread mortar and lay bricks in position

• Ensure level and straight construction using tools

• Cut bricks to fit with masonry saws as necessary

Requirements:

• Bricklaying experience in industrial settings

• Knowledge of masonry unit properties

• Comfortable working at heights on scaffolds

• Ability to handle heavy equipment safely

• Open to 10-hour shift rotations
