Mining Heavy Equipment Finish Operators

North American Construction Group is seeking Heavy Equipment Finish Operators to join their team at the Kearl mining site near Fort McMurray, Alberta. Operators will work with large dozers (D9-D11) on a 14/14 rotation, with camp accommodations and paid flights provided. This is an excellent opportunity for experienced operators to join a leading company with a strong safety record and opportunities for advancement.

• Up to $56.52 per hour wage
• Camp accommodations provided
• Paid flights to and from Edmonton or Calgary
• Bussing from Fort McMurray to site
• Night shift premium of $1.20/hour

• Minimum 3 years experience as a Finish Dozer Operator on civil projects
• Experience operating D3 to D8 sized Dozer or larger
• Experience with muskeg/soft & wet ground
• Experience building roads/corridors, back filling pipe/trenches, sloping/spotting trucks
• Valid Class 5 Driver’s License and recent acceptable Driver’s Abstract
• Valid CSO Certification
• Wood Buffalo Wildlife Awareness or Energy Safety Canada Wildlife Awareness (Kearl only)
• Ability to pass pre-employment testing: breath alcohol, urine drug, fitness-to-work, audiometric, vision, and criminal record check
• Proficient in English (verbal and written)
• High school diploma, GED, or post-secondary education is an asset
• Strong safety attitude and ability to follow instructions

• Minimum one year experience in a mining atmosphere preferred
