Join SOUTHLAND as a Mobile Preventative Maintenance Yard Mechanic, servicing buses across various locations. This role ensures safe and efficient repairs while offering a $3,000 hiring bonus.

As a Mobile Preventative Maintenance Yard Mechanic, you will work Monday to Friday, 6:00 am to 2:30 pm, providing essential maintenance and repairs. Key skills include diagnosing equipment issues and performing both spring and winter maintenance. You'll complete all necessary documentation while coordinating with shop management to ensure smooth operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform ongoing maintenance and repair on buses

• Travel to multiple yards for preventative maintenance

• Diagnose equipment problems accurately

• Complete documentation for each equipment repair

• Follow SOUTHLAND procedures and guidelines

Requirements:

• Valid Journeyperson Ticket or 4th-year apprentice

• Own hand tools for bus maintenance

• 2-5 years relevant experience in repairs

• Valid driver's license (class 2 or 3 preferred)

• Proficient in diagnostic and measuring tools
