As a Diesel Mechanic at CPKC, you will maintain and repair locomotive systems and ensure their optimal performance. This position requires a keen eye for detail, as you'll diagnose issues, interpret blueprints, and conduct electrical repairs. Key Responsibilities:
• Maintain and inspect all locomotive systems for performance
• Diagnose and repair diesel engine issues accurately
• Interpret blueprints and service manuals for efficient task completion
• Evaluate parts for reuse, repair, or replacement
• Conduct low-voltage repairs on locomotive electrical systems
Requirements:
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver’s license mandatory
• Red Seal or equivalent certification required
• Willingness to work varied shifts and conditions
• Strong communication skills for teamwork
