Salary and Benefits: $40.97 - $47.93 - According to education and experience. Includes tool and safety equipment allowance.
- Inspections of all Division PAA shops for safe operation of equipment and clean air in shop environment
- Recognize required construction maintenance and complete if necessary
- Inspections of National Building Code, Part 9 buildings for compliancy
- Regular inspections of playground equipment at all 20 schools
- Inspections, replacement, recharging of fire extinguishers
- Recognize and correct OH&S violations with facility employees
- Maintain administrative procedures as per Board directives
- Extensive travel throughout the division which includes 20 schools and 203 residential units
The ideal candidate will have:
- Journeyperson Carpenter or post-secondary certificate/diploma & equivalent experience in the Carpentry trade
- Certificate in Science lab safety, Manlift, MSDS & Fire alarm and safety systems training an asset
- Knowledge and expertise of Occupational Health & Safety regulations
- First Aid & CPR training
- Valid driver's license with a reliable vehicle
