Finning Canada is seeking experienced Heavy Duty Mechanics to join their team at the Albian site in Fort McMurray, Alberta. These professionals will perform maintenance and repairs on Caterpillar mining equipment in a field environment. The ideal candidates are safety-conscious, detail-oriented, and have strong experience with CAT mining equipment. • Industry leading wage: $70.19 - $77.99 per hour
• Continuous shift premium: $3.50/hr and night shift premium: $3.50/hr (when applicable)
• 14x14 days/nights continuous shift rotation

• Journeyperson Heavy Equipment Technician (HET) Certification
• Experience as a Heavy Duty Mechanic with strong knowledge of Caterpillar mining equipment in the field
• Valid driver’s license and recent drivers abstract
• Ability to obtain Customer Site access (Drug & Alcohol, fitness testing) and wear a respirator where applicable
• Comfortable working in an austere mining environment, often alone with no supervision
• Willingness to join the associated union and comply with collective agreement terms

• Mining equipment repair experience, especially with 797 B & F Trucks, D11, 24 motor graders, and 740 ADT
