Journeyperson Concrete Finisher

We are seeking skilled Concrete Finisher Journey persons and Apprentices for the North Calgary Water Services site. Candidates will engage in tasks like preparing and finishing various concrete structures and surfaces. Local applicants only, this role offers a regular 5 days on, 2 days off schedule for work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Inspect and supervise concrete mixing processes

• Direct pouring and prepare surfaces for finishing

• Place concrete in structures like sidewalks and bridge decks

• Repair and waterproof existing concrete surfaces

• Set forms and mold expansion joints precisely

Requirements:

• Proven experience in concrete finishing techniques

• Familiarity with hand and power tools used in construction

• Valid CSTS 2020/WHMIS certification required

• Legally entitled to work in Canada

• Knowledge of using vibrators and trowels effectively
